Fall In Love With These 6 Netflix Titles In September

Love is a subject that never gets old. Finding it, keeping it, losing it, getting over it, having another chance at it…It’s the topic of countless songs, movies, and television series.

As we head into fall this September, Netflix has a handful of new and returning titles devoted to the subject. As singletons know all too well, it’s like searching for a needle in a haystack. If you Google how to do that, burning the haystack is a solution: metal doesn’t burn. As we all know, looking for happily ever after is a messy journey. Don’t fret; Netflix has you covered with the six titles listed below.

Love Is Blind: After The Altar Season 4 premieres September 1 with three 40-minute episodes. The five-time Emmy-nominated reality dating series created by Chris Coelen and produced by Kinetic Content became a massive hit for Netflix for its unique twist on modern love and dating. It was such an enormous hit that there was an hour-long delay in April for the live reunion due to too many viewers tuning in at once. It led to an internet breakdown for the streaming platform’s second-ever live event.

The show follows a group of singles looking for love who get engaged before meeting in person. The fourth season follows the married couples as they celebrate their one-year anniversaries, and the singles reflect on the past year. When the Pod Squad reunites for a flag football celebration, surprises and twists leave the fate of some relationships hanging in the balance. Will these marriages and friendships survive the turmoil?

Love AgainThis romantic comedy is premiering on September 2 and is for anyone who believes in love and second chances at finding it. The story of love after loss follows Mira Ray (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) as she tries to cope with her fiancé’s death by sending romantic texts to his old cell phone number. She connects with Rob Burns (Outlander’s Sam Heughan), the man the number has been reassigned to. Director Jim Strouse co-wrote the script with Sofie Cramer and Andrea Willson. The story is based on Cramer’s book “Text for You” and the film adaptation also stars songstress Céline Dion as herself as she uses her personal experiences to guide Mira and Rob.

Virgin River – Things in this small town get very interesting in the 12-episode fifth season of this fan-favorite based on Robyn Carr’s book series. Starting on September 7, life in Virgin River intensifies as surprising new relationships are formed as one relationship shockingly crumbles. The town faces a challenging court trial, a heartbreaking goodbye and a wildfire threatens everyone. Motherhood issues push Mel to make a big decision about her future at the clinic while her pregnancy unexpectedly sparks an emotional connection to her past. In wanting to prove himself to Mel, Jack deals with his demons. Season 5 will premiere in two parts: Part 1 (Episodes 1-10) will premiere on September 7, and Part 2 (Episodes 11 and 12) will stream on November 30 as holiday episodes. This romantic drama series has become a hit for the streamer and has been described as a “blue skies, comfort watch” blending Hart of Dixie and Yellowstone. Every season thus far has placed in the streamer’s Top 10, making stars of the phenomenal cast led by Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson and Annette O’Toole.

Love At First Sight – This charming romantic comedy, premiering on September 15, is a reminder that it’s all about timing when it comes to love. It’s also a cautionary tale to keep your eyes wide open, as you never know when and where you’ll find it. The story follows Hadley (Haley Lu Richardson of The White Lotus), who missed her flight from New York to London, as she meets Oliver (Ben Hardy) in a chance encounter at the airport. They have an instant connection throughout a long night spent together on a flight from New York to London. The fairytale ends abruptly upon landing at Heathrow when they get separated at customs and lose each other. Though the probability of ever finding one another again seems impossible, fate may have a way of defying the odds. This rom-com comes from the To All The Boys franchise producers and is based on the wildly popular novel “The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight,” by Jennifer E. Smith.

Sex Education – Let’s not forget the angst and awkwardness of first love. Oh, to be young, naive and hopeful! Season 4 will also be this fan-favorite series’ final season, and all eight episodes will drop on September 21. This season will have plenty of love, laughter, tears, friendship, and relationship drama. Since its 2019 premiere on Netflix, Sex Education has been nominated for and won multiple awards, including the top prize for Best Comedy Series for Season 3 at the 2022 Emmy Awards. Season 3 had nearly 67 million views in its first 91 days (504.9 million view hours divided by 7.59 runtime).

Per Netflix, Season 4 picks up following the closure of Moordale Secondary, as Otis and Eric now face their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, while Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. Over in the U.S., Maeve lives her dream at the prestigious Wallace University, and Otis is pining after her.

This brilliant series comes from creator, lead writer and executive producer Laurie Nunn. Asa Butterfield leads the cast alongside Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar and Daniel Ings. Joining for the final season are Emmy award-winning actor and Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy, Thaddea Graham, Lisa McGrillis, Marie Reuther, Jodie Turner-Smith, Eshaan Akbar and newcomers Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean and Imani Yahshua.

Love Is Blind – Season 5 will premiere on September 22, with a new batch of singles looking for love in Houston, TX. The viewer will follow along as the newly engaged couples move in together, plan their weddings, and determine if their physical connections match the solid emotional bonds developed in the Pods. As their wedding days arrive, they’ll discover if real-world realities and external factors will push them apart or if these challenges will strengthen their relationships. Nick and Vanessa Lachey host the highly-anticipated ten-episode season. New episodes will drop each Friday: Week 1 (Friday, September 22) Episodes 1-4; Week 2 (Friday, September 29) Episodes 5-7; Week 3 (Friday, October 6) Episodes 8-9 and Week 4 (Friday, October 13) Episode 10 premieres with the weddings.
