Elton John Lands A Career-First Top 10 On One Chart In His Home Country

Elton John is not normally considered a dance artist, although quite a few of his biggest hits are quite danceable. The celebrated performer and piano man has scored several hits on dance and electronic charts throughout his career, especially more recently, thanks to collaborations with artists like Dua Lipa and Britney Spears, among others.

In his home country of the United Kingdom, John lands on one dance tally for the first time, and as he visits the ranking, he reaches the top 10 on his initial visit.

Positiva Presents: Elton John – The Remixes Debuts

John recently released Positiva Presents: Elton John – The Remixes. The album was part of Record Store Day 2026, and the vinyl release, which was only available in limited quantities, became a quick bestseller across the U.K.

This week, the project, which includes reworkings of tunes like “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” with RuPaul, “Rocket Man,” “Hold Me Closer” with Spears, and multiple versions of “Cold Heart,” his global win with Lipa, debuts on four rosters, and it performs best on the dance list.

Elton John’s Positiva Presents Starts Inside the Top 10

Positiva Presents kicks off its time on the Official Dance Albums chart, which ranks the bestselling full-lengths and EPs that can be considered dance when it comes to genre by the Official Charts Company, at No. 10. John has never before landed on the listing, and his top 10 opening is an impressive showing of his continued popularity.

Elton John Follows Debuts From Nine Inch Nails and Air

This week, four titles debut inside the top 10 on the Official Dance Albums chart, with three starting ahead of John. The roster is led by Come Closer from Tomora. That project blocks Nine Inch Noise, a collaborative remix release by Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize, from launching at the summit. Instead, that collaborative full-length debuts at No. 2. Moon Safari – The Athens Concert by Air starts off at No. 8. Meanwhile, Boards of Canada sees Music Has the Right to Children reenter the ranking at No. 3, which marks a new all-time high for that set.

Elton John’s Positiva Presents Launches on Multiple Charts

Positiva Presents only manages to debut within the top 10 on one ranking, though it appears on a quartet of charts for the first time. The remix set also arrives on the Official Vinyl Albums (No. 37), Official Physical Albums (No. 43), and Official Albums Sales rundowns (No. 44).

While John is brand new to the Official Dance Albums chart, he’s racked up more than a dozen wins on the other three lists. Positiva Presents earns the EGOT winner his eighteenth placement on the vinyl tally, his twenty-third on the ranking of the bestselling projects of any genre or via any format in the U.K., and his thirty-seventh on the Official Physical Albums chart.

Elton John’s Diamonds Continues to Hold as a Fan-Favorite

Two albums by John appear on U.K. rankings this week, but there’s no crossover between the two. Positiva Presents was only available to purchase on vinyl, and thus it finds its way exclusively to sales-focused rosters. Diamonds, his hugely successful greatest hits compilation, dips ever so slightly on the Official Albums Streaming chart, down from No. 17 to No. 18, while sliding back four pegs to No. 25 on the Official Albums list.
