Donald Trump is “obviously thinking about” running for president again in 2024, his son-in-law and former senior advisor Jared Kushner said on Friday, downplaying the importance of the FBI raid on Mar-A-Lago as the former president is reportedly mulling when to launch his third run.

In an interview with Sky News, Kushner revealed his father-in-law has asked him about a potential third run for the White House run in 2024.

Kushner, who would not go into detail about what Trump asked him, said nobody “can speak for” Trump on whether or not he will run again.

It’s “hard to rule anything out” with Trump, Kushner said, adding that the former president “hates seeing what’s happening in the country.”

Kushner, who is doing the rounds promoting his new memoir, also downplayed the importance of an FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-A-Lago residence last month as part of an investigation into whether Trump took classified records from the White House.

It’s an “issue of paperwork” that should have been resolved between Trump and the Department of Justice, Kushner said, though he claimed he did not know details of what was taken or why it was taken.
