Dash releases GroveDB for cryptographic proofs

Dash recently introduced GroveDB to the market. The decentralized open-source database aims to support cryptographic proofs in complex queries.

The database was unveiled via a string of tweets on the official Dash Twitter account. As per the tweets, GroveDB is the world’s first database that enables cryptographic proofs for complex queries.

Dash also revealed the features that make GroveDB stand out from the competition. The database offers:

  • ACID compliance
  • Complex query proofs
  • Immutable and mutable storage
  • Non-inclusion and inclusion proofs

Besides this, Dash was aware of making a side-by-side comparison of GroveDB against similar databases. The comparison showed how Dash’s new database outshines the competition. The platform will be free to use with several benefits that are unmatched in the industry.

That is why GroveDB is making waves across the market despite its recent entry. The database is also elevating Dash’s market status while boosting its price. Ever since the launch update, traders have been closely following the Dash crypto price prediction to foresee how the token will fluctuate.

That is not all, as developers and stakeholders are keenly following the updates shared by Dash. According to the latest tweets, GroveDB will use a hierarchical form. It allows root hashes from low-level trees to be stored in high-level tree nodes.

At the same time, the database can use the root hash of the root tree to verify the entire ecosystem. There will be two “Contracts Tree” on the database with a Document Type 1 Tree.

GroveDB will also accompany secondary indexes to enable clients to undertake complex queries. Such complexities involved retrieving the names of every restaurant in a specific city. GroveDB will simply navigate across the city index and iterate over the records to achieve it.

These queries can also be conducted without using secondary indexes. This was not possible till now, making GroveDB highly useful for users.

Lastly, the database has provided a solution to dApps using The Graph issue. Since these services rely on reputation systems and economic incentives, they provide no assurance of query authenticity. GroveDB will use complex query proofs to enable seamless data indexing and verifiability.

The database has been warmly welcomed by the community, and it is on the path to leading the market toward innovation.
