Masterson’s That ’70s Show co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis also separated themselves from the actor recently, apologizing for character statements made in support of Masterson and later stepping down from their roles within the anti-child sex abuse organization Thorn following backlash. Kutcher labeled his and Kunis’ letters as an “error in judgment” in his resignation letter to the organization. Masterson was convicted on two counts of rape in June and sentenced to 30 years to life in prison earlier this month. The actor, who prosecutors claimed used his internal prominence in the Church of Scientology to commit the rapes of two fellow members, will be eligible for parole in about 25 years. Masterson avoided another conviction after a separate count was declared a mistrial and dismissed last year.
