Copper.co Has Onboarded Carly Nuzbach Lowery as Chief Legal Officer

Copper.co announced that it has onboarded Carly Nuzbach
Lowery as its Chief Legal Officer, effective immediately.

In an article shared with Finance Magnates, Carly Nuzbach
Lowery, a legal representative with more than twenty years of experience
working with the Fintech industry, has been chosen by Copper.co, a digital asset
custody and trading infrastructure provider, as its Chief Legal Officer, effective
immediately.

Copper intends to offer a gateway to the crypto market for
institutional investors by providing prime brokerage, custody and settlements
services over four hundred and fifty digital assets and above four hundred and
fifty exchanges. Also, the appointment comes at a time when there has been an
increase in scrutiny from regulators consequently a number of crypto firms have
been looking to strengthen their legal ranks.

Additionally, Copper has made a number of hires in recent
times and has appointed
Sabrina Wilson, the previous Citi and Deutsche Banks MD as its Chief Operating Officer
.

Prior to the announcement, Coinbase appointed Lowery as its Associate
General Counsel, International in October 2020, according to her LinkedIn
profile.

Lowery also served as Senior Legal Counsel at Uber for more
than two years.

Earlier on, she fulfilled the role of Legal Counsel for Barclays
Corporate & Investment Bank. Over the course of more than three and a half
years, he worked on contentious regulatory litigation, investigations and
enforcement as well as dispute resolution.

In February 2014, she joined Boies Schiller Flexner LLP as
an Associate. Here, she focused on contentious regulatory litigation and
dispute resolution for just under a year.

She also spent around seven years as an Associate at
Linklaters commuting between London and New York. She also worked on contentious
regulatory litigation and dispute resolution during this time.

The World Bank – ICSID recruited her as a Legal Intern in
the summer of 2006. For six months, she invested her time in investor-state arbitration.

Her first known position was as a Law Clerk & Legal
Assistant for Shearman & Sterling LLP in 2002.
