Consob Adds 5 New Websites to Its Blacklist

The Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa (CONSOB) shutdown 5 new websites that illegally promote investment-related products in the country.

Some of the blacklisted websites are offering forex trading platforms, operate offshore and lack regulations. The following websites were added to the blacklist, which currently has 628 blacklisted domains.

Consob only had the ability to ban websites in 2019 in accordance to the ‘Growth Decree.’

Consob adds that for technical reasons the it may take several days for the websites to be blacked-out. Consob highlights the importance of of ‘adopting the greatest diligence in order to
make informed investment choices and adopting common sense behaviors.’
