CFI Financial Names Stelios Thrasyvoulou as Chief Technology Officer

CFI Financial Group, a

 forex
and CFDs broker, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Stelios Thrasyvoulou as its new Chief Technology Officer. He has already joined the broker and is based in Dubai.

With Thrasyvoulou onboard, the broker is planning to bring major advancements to its technological artillery, but it did not specify any areas where it will focus.

“CFI has been seeing tremendous growth recently, and one of my main objectives is to facilitate this growth by using new and robust technologies while helping the organization build new products and enhancing the existing infrastructure,” Thrasyvoulou said.

Strong Tech Background

Thrasyvoulou is a Computer Science graduate from the University of Edinburgh and has spent more than the last decade working for various brokerage firms. Before joining CFI, he was with FXPrimus.

He started his professional career in May 2009, according to his Linkedin profile, and entered the trading industry within a year as a Web Developer with FX Pro. In addition, he spent three years with IronFX as a Senior Application Developer. Moreover, he held leadership roles at Swiss Markets and Henyep Group.

“With Stelios joining the team, we aim to further solidify our status as a

 fintech
-focused company,” Hisham Mansour and Eduardo Fakhoury, the Founders and Managing Directors of CFI, said. “The future is customer-centric as well as tech-centric, so it only makes sense to enhance it by elevating our team further in this key area.”

Furthermore, the appointment of the new CTO came when the broker is aggressively expanding its products and services. Also, it is focusing on brand awareness and has inked multiple sports-sponsorship deals.

CFI’s Group COO, Dr Demetrios Zamboglou, said: “We are in the process of taking our infrastructure to the next level, and to do so, we need to implement the latest technological advances while ensuring efficiency, sustainability and an error-proof setup that will allow 100% focus on expanding the business.”
