Axie Infinity developer Sky Mavis reveals first 12 projects in Builders Program

Sky Mavis, the studio behind the popular blockchain-based game Axie Infinity, has announced the first 12 projects accepted in its Builders Program.

The program, which targets bringing community-built games to the Axie Infinity ecosystem, is one of the steps Sky Mavis is taking as it looks to bring more players and users into the play-to-earn environment.

The cohort of projects chosen into the program are from a list of 2,000 applications, and will receive support in various ways to help build.

Projects to get $10,000 grant in AXS

Apart from a $10,000 grant (minimum) in Axie Infinity token AXS, project teams will also receive guidance from Sky Mavis teams, including engineering and game design.  

Teams will also tap into Axie Infinity’s intellectual property to monetize their game while also benefiting from integrations such as Ronin Wallet Transactions.

Sky Mavis will also help promote projects in the builders’ program to the community.

Commenting on what else Sky Mavis has its eyes on, Philip La, the product lead at Axie Infinity wrote:

While we plan on harnessing community-built games to strengthen the Axie ecosystem, Sky Mavis will also be forming partnerships with major game studios to develop experiences for the Axie Infinity and Ronin.”

The 12 projects accepted are: Inter the Dungeon, Defenders of Lunacian Land (DOLL), Axie To The Moon, Hungry Axie, Axieology, Lunacia Cup, Run Axie Run!, AxiePop, Axie Infinity War, Axie Brawl, Mech Infinity and Across Lunacia.

AXS token pumps 20%

The Axie Infinity token AXS traded higher on Tuesday as the news and a broader positivity in the crypto market buoyed bulls. 

At the time of writing, AXS was up more than 20%, exchanging hands around $24.45. the token’s value is up more than 16% in the past week.
