Alo Yoga Launches Digital Fashion Collection

Today Los Angeles based lifestyle and activewear brand Alo Yoga is launching a collection of digital wearables.

The unisex line can be worn by avatars in over a thousand metaverses and social media networks in 3D, AR and VR, including partnerships with Zepeto, Roblox, Decentraland, The Sandbox, ReadyPlayerMe, RecRoom, VRChat, TikTok and Snapchat.

The project presents another step towards the reality of digital clothing interoperability across the metaverse.

It features IRL bestsellers like the Alo Accolade Hoodie, Accolade Sweatpant and canvas Bucket Hat. The launch was created in collaboration with Sawhorse Interactive, which also helped create Alo Yoga’s Sanctuary on the Roblox gaming platform last year.

“We had more leggings being worn in the metaverse last year than we did in real life, and we want to continue solidifying our presence within the digital realm, signifying both our investment in our community and in digital worlds, as digital identity and expression become more and more important,” said Alo Yoga Global Head of Marketing Angelic Vendette in a statement.

“Currently the technology on each platform is different, but to give a taste of the future of digital clothing we collaborated with Alo to create one outfit that can truly be worn across many platforms,” added Nic Hill, Head of Interactive at Sawhorse.

Alo Yoga entered the web3 space earlier this month, releasing NFTs to owners of its Aspen Ski collection and also launched a virtual store in partnership with Obsess and Meta. It launched a cryptocurrency facility at check-out in June and also gives employees the option to be paid in cryptocurrency.

“Web3 is quickly becoming the future of fashion and wellness, and Alo is eager to meet our community where they are in their everyday lives,” says Danny Harris, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Alo Yoga.

The Alo Yoga digital wearable collection will be available for redemption from today March 1 to March 31 with monthlong activations culminating at Metaverse Fashion Week on March 27 – 29th with virtual yoga, breathwork, and meditation classes for the most stylish downward dogs in Decentraland.
