All’Antico Vinaio, Famed Florentine Sandwich Shop, To Open In Las Vegas

One of Italy’s best sandwich shops is about to meet the West Coast. After expanding to the United States in 2021, all’Antico Vinaio has become a New York City staple, with two locations now in Manhattan. Lines wrap outside the Hell’s Kitchen and West Village locations to indulge in the oversize sandwiches, built on freshly baked Tuscan schiacciata bread with hand sliced meats, imported cheeses and more premium ingredients including truffles.

Now, a third all’Antico Vinaio location in the United States, the first outside of New York City, is set to open this fall in Las Vegas.

Founded in Florence, Italy, all’Antico Vinaio is considered to be one of the top street food experiences in the world. Tommaso “Tommy” Mazzanti, whose family founded the restaurant, and revered restaurateur, Joe Bastianich, have helped the sandwiches find an American audience.

“Only in our dreams could we have thought that we would open a location in Las Vegas,” said Mazzanti. “We’re excited and so proud to start this new adventure at UnCommons, and look forward to serving the community when we open this year.”

Founded by the Mazzanti family in 1991, all’Antico Vinaio translates to “at the ancient wine merchant’s.” A historic wine bar, Antico Vinaio, was located across the street from the original shop. Since opening, the Mazzanti family has been passionately running all’Antico Vinaio, offering their famous sanfiches like La Schiacciata del Boss (made with prosciutto Toscano, pecorino Toscano and truffle cream) to crowds of Italians and tourists alike.

All’Antico Vinaio will join a curated group of restaurants at at UnCommons, a mixed-use development in southwest Las Vegas. Other culinary talent slated for the fall includes The Sundry by TableOne Hospitality, Wineaux by James Beard Award-winning chef, Shawn McClain, and more.
