While partnerships continue to increase in the cryptocurrency industry, the latest partnership news came from Spanish telecom giant Telefónica and Hellium (HNT).
Announcing this partnership in its blog post, Hellium announced that they are collaborating with Telefónica.
Telefónica and Helium Network creator Nova Labs said they are collaborating on Helium Mobile Hotspots in Mexico to expand the coverage of mobile services in select locations.
It was stated that within the scope of the partnership, the new product will improve mobile coverage for select customers in Mexico City and Oaxaca.
Telefónica Wholesale and Public Relations Manager José Juan Haro said in his statement:
“Telefónica is exploring ways to expand coverage through innovative, lower-cost, collaborative solutions.
This partnership with Hellium in Mexico is critical to evaluate the performance and customer satisfaction of this solution and its associated costs.
“If successful, our expectation is to include it in our mobile network portfolio in different countries of the region.”
HNT, the token of Helium Network, which rose after the partnership news, has increased by more than 20% in the last 24 hours.
At the time of writing, HNT continues to trade at $6.8 with a 14% increase.
