Polkadot Community Coin $PINK All Set to Debut on March 21

The public launch of Polkadot community coin $PINK has been announced. On March 21, the memecoin—which has been airdropped to top Polkadot communities—will go live.

The figure 2,300,001,221 honors Polkadot’s RGB color coding and represents the entire supply of $PINK. The memecoin $PINK is issued on Polkadot AssetHub. $PINK has been distributed fairly by going to the top communities and parachains that are advancing the Polkadot ecosystem.

Parachains have received 12.5% of the supply; at this time, 14 teams are qualified. Every parachain is free to allocate its share to users as they see fit. Users of Moonbeam will get the biggest parachain airdrop, with Bifrost and Astar following closely after.

The Game Studio behind the Great Escape created PINKDROP in an effort to raise awareness of the PINK community. A casual browser game that walks players through a series of interactive tasks to expose them to the Polkadot ecosystem. To create the ultimate Polkadot ball, players must combine balls that symbolize various parachains in order to increase the size of the ball.

In order to move up the leaderboard and get points, players compete. Until one of the balls the player is manipulating hits its upper limit, the game goes on. Pinkdrop players will get 15% of the available $PINK, plus an extra 15% for doing social tasks like sharing their top score. Pinkdrop, which debuted in December, has become very popular. In the first four weeks, 14K distinct addresses registered over 225K gaming sessions.

Gaming communities will get 2.5 percent of the $PINK supply as part of a smaller airdrop tranche. Three Polkadot and three non-Polkadot games, including Shockwaves.ai, were among the six games participated.
