Equinox, the significant high-end health and fitness club has now taken a move towards adopting the digital assets. It has recently initiated to accept payments via cryptocurrencies in New York City.
BitPay Hands It’s Support In This Initiative
The fitness club is collaborating with BitPay, the crypto payment service provider with a focus on facilitating the customers to buy an annual membership using the digital assets. The members can choose from any coins that BitPay supports, Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin cash (BCH), wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), or other five US Dollar pegged stablecoins.
According to a company’s statement, more than ever, the consumers are making luxury purchases via cryptocurrency and offering digital assets as a form of payment, allowing Equinox to carry on meeting their community where they are.
As of now, the crypto payments are available in the club’s New York locations. Equinox has 105 clubs all across the United States, and the Big Apple accounts for 35 of them.
This seems to be great news for the ones who are both fitness freaks and crypto enthusiasts, as Equinox is finally enabling crypto payments.
