Crypto.com partners with CyLab Institute to support its Secure Blockchain Initiative

Crypto.com, which is a growing crypto platform, has entered into a three years partnership with Carnegie Mellon University’s (CMU) CyLab Institute to support its Secure Blockchain Initiative.

As per the partnership, Crypto.com shall be the founding sponsor of the institute’s initiative that seeks to advance on-chain safety for the global community.

The two partners will support cutting-edge research to drive a greater understanding of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry.

Crypto.com has taken building Web3, which is the future of the internet, to be at the core of its mission. Therefore, such collaborations contribute to the invention of safer and more secure blockchain technology.

CyLab experts are expected to play a great role in contributing to enhancing blockchain security.

Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and CyLab

CMU is ranked among the top universities in the US in things related to computer science. In 2022, CMU ranked first in computer engineering, information & technology management, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, which are all an integral part of the blockchain industry.

The College of Engineering, Tepper School of Business, School of Computer Science, and Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy are the schools and colleges within CMU that are expected to take part in the blockchain initiative.

For the three years that Crypto.com has committed to partner with CyLab, Crypto.com shall support the Secure Blockchain Initiative and also support CyLab itself.

The Secure Blockchain Initiative attracted the attention of Crypto.com since it is in line with security and privacy, which are core components of Crypto.com’s mission. Crypto.com is expected to pursue additional academic collaborations and partnerships in the future as it embarks on working towards building a secure Web3.
