Crypto.com completes SOC 2 Type II Compliance audit to position as a secure and reliable platform

Singapore-based cryptocurrency platform, Crypto.com, announced on August 23 that it completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II Compliance audit.

Notably, the audit carried out by Deloitte, a globally recognized auditing and consulting firm, demonstrates that Crypto.com adheres to the most stringent standards in terms of data privacy and data protection, as per a press release by the crypto exchange.

Deloitte confirmed that Crypto.com’s information security processes, policies, procedures, and operations comply with AICPA Trust Services Criteria in Security, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, and Privacy.

The results of the independent validation demonstrate that the current internal controls have been successfully established, implemented, and operated to satisfy the standards of the most advanced security practice in the sector.

The accomplishment of SOC 2 Type II Compliance is the most recent illustration of Crypto.com’s commitment to gaining and retaining the confidence of its customers based on the company’s commitment to security. Jason Lau, Chief Information Security Officer of Crypto.com, stated:

“Achieving SOC 2 Type II certification is yet another step in reinforcing Crypto.com’s continuous commitment to security and data privacy by design. With the ever-evolving threat landscape, we will continue to ensure we maintain the highest level of security and data privacy so our customers can feel confident and trust our products.

Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com declared:

“We will continue investing aggressively in building a most trusted platform for our users that maintains the highest standards of security and privacy in the industry.”

Notably, the news follows Crypto.com’s announcement last week that it signed a pre-registration undertaking with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) in Canada as well as received registration approval as a crypto asset business from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
