Big Eyes Coin: Extends Promotional Offer

Cryptocurrency is the once-space-age technology that is now a household name for so many of us. As with all innovations in tech, the course chart often begins with upturned noses and the scoffing sound of cynical onlookers, but slowly and surely, the machines begin to congregate in our living rooms, cars, and offices. Now, decentralized currency poses a threat to contactless plastic in the same way that credit cards once did to nickels and dimes. The appeal? A currency controlled by the community rather than the duplicitous bankers that rule the world.

At least, that was the original concept. But, as with every pure idea, there are margins for profit and, therefore, advantageous eyes that stalk the periphery. Once upon a time, the internet itself was poised as the silver bullet of the revolution — a slave’s tool that might dismantle the master’s house. Now, the internet, more than anything, is surely the primary resource for governments, oligarchs, and industries to manipulate and corral their target audiences into consumerism and political/social action.

Cryptocurrency firms in the United Kingdom under the watchful eye of the FCA

According to the United Kingdom’s financial watchdog, new proposed advertising laws in the United Kingdom may subject CEOs of crypto businesses to up to two years in prison for failing to fulfill certain marketing standards.

Under the FCA’s proposed framework, crypto businesses would need either permission from the FCA or an exemption from the Financial Promotion Order in order to market their services.

“All crypto asset firms marketing to UK consumers, including firms based overseas, will soon need to comply with the new UK financial promotions regime,” said the FCA in their February 6 Statement. “Firms must start preparing now for this regime. We will take robust action against firms breaching these requirements.”

New Cat on the Block, Big Eyes Coin, extends 200% promotional offer:

One of the major things to happen in the cryptocurrency environment in the previous two years was the presale for Big Eyes Coin (BIG). Big Eyes Coin recently issued a promotional code that was set to expire on February 3rd. The Big Eyes team, however, has extended it until February 20th, enabling cryptocurrency investors to double their tokens with each purchase.

Having surpassed $24.5 million in presales, Big Eyes prides itself on its community focus and humanitarian efforts. With a vested financial interest in ocean-based conservation, as detailed in their white papers, it remains unclear at this stage whether Big Eyes Coin is sensitive to the natural disasters impacting Turkey and Syria.

North Korea accused of crypto-theft in 2022:

An annual report by Chainalysis — a firm that specializes in the analytics and processing of information on the blockchain — cited that the Lazarus Group, associated directly with Pyongyang, stole somewhere in the region of $1.4 billion last year.

In the past, the country has been accused of avoiding international sanctions and even going as far as to fund the manufacture and armament of missiles using stolen crypto assets.

According to a UN report published on February 6, these sophisticated hacking groups used phishing techniques to carry out their crimes, in one case targeting employees of various international organizations via social media sites such as LinkedIn. North Korea has vehemently denied any allegations of cybercrime or crypto theft.
