Meet the Projects Sponsoring the Largest Blockchain Hacker Competition

Hackathons are a classic tool for developers to meet and learn from each other. They offer an opportunity to show off your skills, learn new techniques and find collaborators for future projects.

CryptoCurrency is The Flag (CCTF) is the largest hacker competition for crypto/blockchain hackers. The event is sponsored by CodeCluster and Next Earth, and offers a prize pool of $15,000.

CCTF is a great opportunity for those interested in blockchain technology to learn more about how it works. The event focuses on creating realistic challenges that cryptographers, auditors, pentesters and security engineers face on a daily basis. The event is also a great opportunity to network with other blockchain enthusiasts. The event will feature not only Bitcoin and Ethereum-related challenges, but also Polkadot hacking challenges.

The event will take place in May, but players can apply until April 7th. To learn more about the event and how to apply, visit the CryptoCTF website.

The Sponsors: CodeCluster and Next Earth

The saying “a rising tide lifts all boats” is often used to describe how economic growth benefits everyone. The same can be said for education. When people are educated about a topic, they are better able to make informed decisions about it. This is especially true for emerging technologies like blockchain.

CodeCluster is a culture-first web and app development shop. Next Earth is the third-largest metaverse project with more than 30,000 virtual landowners, 180,000+ registered users, more than 2,500 transactions and more than $10 million in total income.

Both firms believe that education is critical for the adoption of blockchain technology. By sponsoring the Crypto CTF event, they hope to educate people about the potential of blockchain and how it can be used to create a better world.

Next Earth has made giving back a core part of its mission. The platform, created to become a self-sustaining and self-regulated not-for-profit supporting environmental causes on earth, has donated $1 million to environmental initiatives since its launch in Q4 2021.

Building a Safer Web3 World

Data breaches and other cybersecurity threats flood the Web2 world daily. A major key to solving these issues is proper education and bringing awareness to individuals and businesses. Most people are not aware of how big the problem is, or the consequences of their actions online.

As Web3 and the metaverse become increasingly popular, so too do the threats to these new platforms. That’s why it’s so important to have events like Crypto CTF that educate people about the potential risks and how to avoid them.

CCTF has been running since 2019 and each event has seen an increase in participants and sponsors. The event is organized by Six and Silur, who have been working together since CCTF Volume 3.

Past topics have included cryptography, blockchain, Proof of Authority, Smart Contract security, frontrunning and cryptocurrency infrastructure vulnerabilities, weak crypto, misconfigurations, leaked wallets, BIP seeds, and incorrect RSA implementation.

If you’re interested in learning more about blockchain and how to keep the metaverse safe, CCTF is the event for you.
