Hedera officially joins Blockchain Australia

Hedera has announced that it is now a part of Blockchain Australia, taking it to the forefront of Web3 with leaders like Binance, Algo Foundation, and Coinbase, among others. Blockchain Australia is the leading blockchain association in the region that reviews businesses in the implementation and evaluation of blockchain, or DLT, distributed ledger technology.

Blockchain Australia has confirmed the development by saying that the association is pleased to have them on board. Blockchain Australia has defined Hedera as an open-source leaderless PoS network that features a robust ecosystem that has been built by community members who are spread across the world.

Blockchain Australia had previously announced adding Backpack to the association. Adding new networks to the association reflects Australia’s commitment to becoming a leader in innovation and trade. Others who recently joined Blockchain Australia are Audd Digital and Grineo Pay.

Hedera is currently looking forward to hosting a session titled Building the Future of TradFi. It is scheduled for April 10, 2024, from 2:40 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mona Lisa Stage. Also, Hedera has announced that the testnet reset will be rescheduled. The original date of April 25, 2024, has been confirmed to be skipped. Upcoming testnet resets are scheduled to happen on July 25, 2024, and October 31, 2024, subject to change or revision.

Moving forward, the Hedera Foundation has expressed its commitment to support new projects that are being built on the network.

For instance, Xeni Travel leverages Hedera’s capabilities to fully automate most of its critical functions, like commission payments and payouts to travel vendors and resellers. In turn, Xeni aims to strengthen its mission statement to support the segment and help it launch its booking engine.

Hedera has joined Blockchain Australia at a time when the token, HBAR, is finding it difficult to navigate around the prevailing uncertainty. HBAR has been down by 0.53% in the last 24 hours and is listed at $0.1048. It further reflects a 6.83% and 6.59% drop in the previous seven days and 30 days. The market cap and 24-hour volume have dropped by 0.52% and 16.02%, respectively.

Joining the association marks a crucial moment for Hedera in Australia. It is now at the forefront of Web3, onboarding billions of users to the new world of the Internet. The collective goal is to make it seamless for users, irrespective of their background, to register and experience the wave. The Hedera Foundation now stands true to its nature of powering the next generation of the Web.

Blockchain Australia is simultaneously leading the way with The Women of Blockchain Australia, WoBA, as a special interest group. It was inaugurated on February 13, 2024, at noon AEDT.

Hedera is now officially a part of Blockchain Australia, waiting to share more updates with the community members as the membership adds more days to the calendar.
