Schwartz offered a response to the founder of rotkiapp’s tweet. According to the latter, some cryptocurrency projects “open source wash” their work while claiming to be open source and decentralized.

The tweet specifically addressed Uniswap v4, which was made available under a Business Software License (BSL). After a certain amount of time has passed since the software was released, the latter makes sure that it can become open source.

LefterisJP stated that Uniswap v4 is not open source as a result. David Schwartz made the observation that Uniswap, the original DEX, is also not decentralized.
