Bitget to Nurture Young Blockchain Talents Through One Month Hackathon

Betting on the young generation of blockchain and AI developers, crypto exchange Bitget aims to support future innovators through a series of events and programs. One of them is the Under 30 Virtual Hackathon, which will take place online until September 18. In a strategic alliance with key industry players like Foresight Ventures and HackerEarth, this hackathon is set to harness the unbridled potential of the youth in AI and blockchain realms.

Empowering Emerging Talent: Bitget’s Under 30 Virtual Hackathon

Bitget calls the U30 Hackathon “more than just a competition”, promising to give an opportunity for emerging talent to showcase their creative brilliance and bring groundbreaking ideas to life. All developers need is an idea, ambitions, and a team. For everything else, there is the hackathon, with the funding coming from Foresight Ventures and technical support given by HackerEarth. The latter offers a globally renowned online coding platform, ensuring participants have access to top-notch guidance, seamless event management, and cutting-edge technical resources.

The competition will challenge participants with three thought-provoking tasks, spotlighting the seamless integration of AI and blockchain capabilities. The first challenge will put developers’ skills to the test in constructing a fortified AI infrastructure, impervious to breaches. The second challenge delves into the realm of AI-powered gaming experiences, tasking participants to create immersive gameplay using AI applications. The third challenge will focus on deploying an AI-powered marketplace, fostering secure data exchanges, empowering developers, and catalyzing collaboration across markets.

Bitget promises a prize pool of $50,000 for the most innovative teams. The nominations include Contribution to the Blockchain Community, Creativity, Viability, Design and User Experience, and a dedicated #Blockchain4Her award, promoting diversity within the industry.

Registration is already available for teams of three to five members and will last until September 18. As the event is created for young talents, the only requirement for applicants is to have at least one member under 30 and currently enrolled in an accredited university. As an additional incentive, Bitget gives those who applied before September 6 a chance to be presented at the upcoming Bitget EmpowerX Summit in Singapore. This summit offers a unique platform for showcasing ingenious ideas to luminaries in the field.

Fostering Youth Adoption: Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth Initiative

The Under 30 Virtual Hackathon aligns seamlessly with Bitget’s overarching Blockchain4Youth initiative, which aims to foster blockchain and crypto adoption among the young. A recent Bitget study underscored the heightened enthusiasm of Gen Z and millennials for digital technologies compared to previous generations. With the Blockchain4Youth initiative launched in May 2023, Bitget is committing $10 million to reshape the perception of cryptocurrencies among the youth.

Bitget’s commitment to supporting emerging talent is further evidenced by its Builders Program, created for training over 100 young talents in blockchain and Web3. The exchange has recently hosted the inaugural Crypto Experience Day on International Youth Day, cementing its dedication to nurturing the next era of blockchain enthusiasts.

Wrapping up

Hackathons serve as crucibles for innovation, promoting rapid learning, teamwork, and hands-on experience. The Under 30 Virtual Hackathon follows this tradition, encouraging participants to embrace challenges, experiment, and evolve their skills. As Bitget leads the charge to reshape the blockchain and AI landscape, it’s evident that hackathons like this are not just events – they are the catalysts that fuel the growth of a dynamic community of forward-thinking developers, ensuring a brighter and more innovative future for all.
