What Could BTC Look Like In The Near Future?

A lot of things happened in the past decade, but most people are looking at the recent news regarding crypto. Most of the recent news wasn’t so great, but it seems that cryptocurrencies still continue to strive. Bitcoin is the main thing that people look at when something is happening on the market because it will usually drop or rise in price.

But, even with a lot of bad news in the past couple of years, blockchain technology is being used for many great purposes. We wouldn’t have this technology if it wasn’t for cryptocurrency, so there is still potential. You can now make NFTs, play online casino games, or even regular games that use blockchain, so there are plenty of great things to look forward to.

Current State of BTC

Bitcoin is still the best coin that you can rely on if you are investing in crypto because it already went through everything that other coins didn’t. This includes large drops in prices and almost breaking the market at least a few times. The mining era is almost over, considering that you need a lot of hash power, so everything is up to large corporations.

Most of the games that are made are not using BTC as the main coin in making transactions, but most of them will transfer to Bitcoin when they need to make other investments using crypto. It’s hard to predict what it will look like in the future, but there are definitely some interesting things going on.

Bitcoin Community

Even if BTC reaches new heights, like in 2021 when it hit $69K, it doesn’t mean that governments will regulate it. Everything is up to the community that is still growing, and that can be seen on multiple channels. One of them is sponsorships which can be found in almost every sport. Everything started when NFL players decided to get paid in crypto, and some MLB players decided the same thing.

The growth of this community helped platforms to reach top sports in the world. Motorsports is also one of the markets where crypto has some influence. This is why many professionals think that it will only take time for things to change. Overnight successes won’t help too much when it comes to regulating it.

Virtual Reality

Probably the biggest boost that can push Bitcoin to new heights is VR or AR. Everything that will be done in virtual reality will have its own currency that players will use. This can include things like buying NFTs for your virtual office or buying land where you can have some fun. But VR headsets are not still at the point where everyone will have them like a mobile phone. They are still very expensive, and some of them can go up to $1500.

On the other hand, in ten or more years, we will definitely have virtual offices and places where we can talk to people in-person over long distances. Many things would change if a part of that community had BTC as currency.

BTC Gaming

Gaming is one of the biggest industries where crypto technology can be implemented, like what we can already see in some games. These crypto games that already exist are not very fun to play, and they mostly focus on farming coins through fun activities. This isn’t something that a Call of Duty or Dota 2 player would want to see.

This will definitely change in the future, and we will see great games like GTA that have Bitcoin as the main currency instead of the dollar. The gaming industry will only grow more and even become a part of the Olympic games. This can only benefit the crypto community because of the exposure they would get.

Cryptocurrencies are also implemented in the iGaming industry, which gained a lot of popularity in recent years. This, in combination with VR, would definitely be amazing to see, considering that the entertainment is the only difference between the online experience and in-person.
