In a recent conversation with famous MMA fighter Khalil Rountree in his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, he considered bitcoin a revolution.

In his recent podcast episode, Rogan just got into Bitcoin (BTC), where he talked about the digital asset with a renowned mixed martial art (MMA) fighter, Khalil Rountree. Rogan explained how the government didn’t see bitcoin coming in his conversation. He said that he thinks bitcoin is similar to what he thought of the early internet. It was similar in that the government did not see any of it coming, and now it has become a more practical currency that could be used to buy things.
Rogan went on to say that soon some governments will implement a form of centralized currency itself that will be under their control. Governments will do this to limit the expenditure and spending of people’s money. Bitcoin has become viable since it’s following the exact opposite of the government’s plan, and it’s outside of their control, being a decentralized and permissionless payment network.
The podcaster has been a vocal supporter of bitcoin, where he first showed his support for the world’s largest cryptocurrency in 2014. Rogan, in 2016, explained to Andreas Antonopoulos that he was all in for the bitcoin team when the price of digital currency was under $1000. The time during 2021 when many prominent and popular celebrities around the world were clamoring for crypto, the conviction of Joe Rogan for bitcoin has evolved further with this.
Rogan has made a conviction; he shared his belief while venturing deep down for bitcoin in January, where he said he has high hopes for bitcoin but also explained that it could still fall apart. That later came true where bitcoin and the whole crypto market have seen bloodshed all over.
Joe Rogan’s podcast is among the most popular shows on Spotify, where each episode reaches more than 11 million listeners. Some analysts say that his show has a bigger audience base than Fox News and CNN combined. His recent podcast at the JRE was with Khalil Rountree, where they focused on bitcoin. The MMA fighter shared that bitcoin is awakening and discussed how his family had never got any generational wealth before bitcoin. He admitted that he’s not any tech or finance guy, but he’s excited about it, considering he also attended the Bitcoin Miami Conference 2022.
