‘Bitcoin Billionaire’ Found Dead In NorthWest Arkansas

A missing ‘Bitcoin Billionaire’ was found dead in the North-West region of Arkansas the founder of Onfocoin went missing on May 21. John Forsyth worked as an Emergency Room Doctor at Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

The missing event of the crypto co-founder was relatively uncommon because, as per the near ones, Forsyth always remembers to come to the hospital to perform his duty no matter the concern.

According to his parents, they last saw Forsyth’s message on the morning he was missing. There were no further contacts after this message, and related people were unaware of where he was.

Forsyth’s family reported him missing the same day. Following the complaint, an investigation was launched in which the police and other concerned authorities found some critical things, including a car, wallet, passport, license, briefcase, and other things.

After a week of filing the missing report, police found a dead body on Tuesday, later identified as John Forsyth, the co-founder of Onfocoin. Since the recovery of the body, police officials have been busy figuring out the cause of death and what was the reason for his missing.

Forbes featured Forsyth, calling him a ‘Bitcoin Billionaire.’ He founded his own company in collaboration with his brother and business partner, Richards Forsyth.

John’s son informed a media outlet that his father was curious about crypto and his own company. People aware of the issue believe that John’s decision to enter the crypto industry made them enemies, which might be a reason for his death.

Richard said doctors did not find crypto on his mind leading to his death.

Working For Crypto Is a Death Threat?

Crypto is seen as the alternative to traditional or mainstream banking systems, but some of the bad actors chasing the industry have created a bad image of the industry.

Earlier in the first week of April of 2023 TheCoinRepublic reported that the Cash App creator and former CTO at Square, Bob Lee, reportedly died in San Francisco.

According to the police, the 43-year-old man had stab wounds. Though immediately taken to the hospital, he died due to fatal, life-threatening injuries.

Lee was a big name in the industry as the creator of the mobile payment service platform Cash App. Chief Product Officer of MobileCoin and Former Chief Technology Officer at Jack Dorsey developed payment protocol Block Inc.

Criminals exploit the anonymity and ease of use that crypto offers. A man from New Jersey appeared in Federal Court on Thursday, February 2, 2023, about attempting to hire an assassin on the dark web for killing a 14-year-old boy for $20,000 worth of Bitcoin, in a case related to child pornography, as per the Justice Department.
