Hyundai and Meta Kongz Partner to Launch Community NFTs

You may have heard of BAYC if you’ve ever looked into NFTs or bought them as an investment. BAYC’s value is rising even faster as their metaverse land auction approaches. But did you know that Korea, the land of K-POP and K-Dramas like BTS and Squid Game, is working on an NFT project that promises to take over the NFT industry like BAYC?

Meta Kongz is built on the Klaytn blockchain, which was established by Kakao, the company behind Korea’s most popular instant messaging software, KakaoTalk.

A total of 10,000 PFPs make up Meta Kongz. It is rising in popularity because of the fact that holders may profit not just financially, but also in the metaverse. Meta Kongz is a massive NFT project led by the Kongz team and Lee Doo-hee, Like Lion’s brilliant developer and CEO. They’re also working on an initiative to globalize K-NFTs like the K-POP Korean Wave.

Shinsegae has signed a business agreement with the local NFT brand Meta Kongz in April 2022, to trade its NFTs on its future metaverse platform business.

“ Metaverse will be our next new growth engine. For now, we are preparing various benefits for those who purchased Puuvilla NFTs, which can also be used at our department stores,” a Shinsegae official said.

The MOU covers the production of 10,000 PFP, as well as a project roadmap with real-world applications. The coins will be minted in June, and holders will get perks that may be utilized both online and offline.

Hyundai, Korea’s largest automobile manufacturer, is collaborating with Meta Kongz on NFT Projects and MOUs. Hyundai Motors is cooperating with Meta Kongz, an NFT brand. Hyundai is the first car brand to join the community-based market with this announcement.

The automobile maker is set to issue 30 limited editions of its NFTs on April 20 to celebrate the release of the short film.

Hyundai, a South Korean carmaker, announced its entry into the community NFTs market on April 17. The company also announced the debut of its Twitter and Discord accounts, as well as the impending launch of its website. The firm intends to communicate with community members through these channels while managing the value of its NFTs.

A short film presenting the automaker’s Metamobility Universe was also shown. On that occasion, the automaker presented its vision of a future in which virtual reality is used to improve mobility.

Thomas Schemera, Hyundai’s Global Chief Marketing Officer, stated that the business is excited to provide Metamobility to its community via the NFTs. 

He went on to say that “the NFT universe will extend the firm’s brand experience, especially with the MZ generation, in a completely new way, further reinforcing our commitment to innovation in both the real world and in the metaverse”.

To celebrate the debut of the short film, the automaker will distribute 30 limited edition NFTs on April 20. Even as the Hyundai NFT world continues to develop, these releases will continue throughout the year. Hyundai intends to make a profit. All proceeds from the sale of Hyundai NFTs will go toward project and community management.

Several automakers, like Hyundai, are entering the industry, but without their communities. Mahindra, an Indian company, just launched its first batch of NFTs.

Meta Kongz just finished governance voting on an agenda regarding the transfer of the Klaytn chain to the Ethereum chain. The majority of the votes were cast in favor of the migration.

Meta Kongz will transition to the Ethereum blockchain, which was an unavoidable step for the project’s internationalization. Because attracting non-Koreans to the Klaytn chain is incredibly difficult, many NFT traders choose to use the Ethereum chain using the Metamask wallet. As a result of the relocation, Meta Kongz will be able to gain additional exposure.
