The team behind the play-to-earn game project has announced that the public beta will be released on March 30.
Tobias “Zaradar” Andersen, a prominent Terra Classic (LUNC) core developer and member of the L1 Team, recently called attention to the first trailer of the upcoming Terra Classic play-to-earn (P2E) game dubbed “Garuda the Protector.” The beta version of the game is expected to launch on March 30.
Garuda Nodes, an Indonesian-based Terra Classic validator, and the developers behind the game released the official trailer in a recent tweet. The trailer was developed by LUNC Studio and revealed classic-styled action-oriented gameplay.

Players take on the role of the Garuda NFT hero they have minted and must navigate through a series of obstacles, such as spinning platforms, climbing walls, and threatening antagonists, to collect what appears to be LUNC tokens scattered throughout the set.
The game features a gritty aesthetic, detailed 3D environments, and character models from the minted NFTs. As of press time, all 500 Garuda NFTs have been minted, but proponents can bid for any existing NFT on Miata.io at a price they choose. The original cost for minting each NFT stood at 117,000 LUNC tokens.

Following the trailer’s release, Zaradar responded to the Garuda Nodes team to express his support for the project. The Terra Classic core developer remarked with the popular “This is the way” Mandalorian GIF, often used to demonstrate approval.

A Step Towards Introducing Utility
Recall that Garuda Nodes also received support from Rex “Rexyz” Harrison, a TerraCVita development group senior member, earlier this month. Rexyz directed the team behind Garuda Nodes to utilize the TerraCVita endpoints on Public Node for their game development.
The recent trailer release indicates that the development is still on track. Notably, the team shared the game’s beta version for Android devices on March 23, but it was exclusive to members of the Garuda Nodes Telegram group. They have made some revisions and promised to release the public beta on March 30.
The full version of the game is expected to be released in the second quarter of the year. The project’s development is another step towards introducing utility to the Terra Classic chain and expediting token burns.
