Amid efforts to join the list of biggest projects in the GameFi ecosystem, WorldShards, a cross-platform MMORPG developed by Lowkick Studio, has announced the date for its Token Generation Event (TGE).

According to an official announcement released today, the gaming platform has entered a strategic partnership with Bybit, one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, after scheduling its TGE for September 5, 2025.

Following its design, WorldShards offers dynamic, ever-changing environments and a progression model that allows players to access all content from the start, eliminating the need for level grinding.

While crafting, trading, and exploration are at the core of gameplay, the game allows players to create all essential items, including weapons, tools, and armor.

According to the announcement, the game also offers special collectibles such as rare islands and crafting-enhancing artifacts through in-game achievements and limited-time events, adding value without compromising accessibility.

Following the upcoming launch of its TGE on September 5th, users will be able to play WorldShards free for 30 days with no restrictions, unlike prior to the event when access keys or digital land were required to enter WorldShards. Players who would be active at least 25 of those days will receive full access to the game at no cost.

In addition to its centralized exchange partnership with Bybit, the team is preparing to unveil a full list of additional CEX partners in the upcoming week. This aims to expand its recognition and adoption globally.

Notably, WorldShards follows a fair launch model, with no token allocations for the team or early investors. As such, the project will only unlock 5–10% of the total supply at launch, with the rest vested over six years to support long-term economic stability.

While Abu Dhabi Gaming and OpenLoot back it, the project is also supported by a growing community of over 500,000 members.

With its growing community, WorldShards has amassed over $8.6 million in NFT sales in 2024 and has demonstrated impressive traction, with more than 600,000 UAW (unique active wallets) engaged prior to the TGE.
