Worldcoin, the cryptocurrency platform that utilizes iris-scanning technology for identification and verification purposes, has announced plans to allow governments and businesses to use its technology in an effort to sign up more users. Ricardo Macieira, the general manager for Europe at Tools For Humanity, which is behind the Worldcoin project, confirmed that the company is striving to “build the biggest financial and identity community possible” and aims to open-source the technology that powers the iris-scanning orbs to allow for wider use of the product.
