Watch Out: Fake Cryptocurrency App Detected on Google Play

ZachXBT, one of the leading independent researchers in the cryptocurrency world, issued an important warning to the community.

According to the statement, fake applications published under the name Hyperliquid were detected in the Google Play Store.

These applications, developed by fraudsters, aim to deceive users by using the same name and images, even though they are not the official mobile application of Hyperliquid.

ZachXBT noted that these fake apps managed to bypass Google Play’s standard security filters, urging users to exercise extra caution when downloading. According to the researcher, the scams specifically target new investors and aim to steal wallet information. After downloading the app, users are asked to connect their cryptocurrency wallets, which then steal their assets.

One of the fake apps appearing on Google Play appears to be from a developer named “Tvtion, Inc.” It attempts to build user trust with professional designs. However, the Hyperliquid team has repeatedly stated that the platform still doesn’t have an official mobile app.

Do not download any application that claims to be a “mobile application” without announcing it through the official Hyperliquid channels.
