Vitalik Buterin Dumps 25 Trillion Tokens Received Via Airdrop

• Vitalik receives token airdrops from a number of projects for free exposure.
• Two years earlier, Ryoshi delivered Vitalik half of the SHIB in circulation.

Shit tokens are willing to do everything in order to earn free exposure. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin got 25 trillion SHIT tokens as part of an airdrop in an effort to accomplish this. “Pieceofshit” gave Vitalik the airdrop 60 days ago. On Uniswap, Vitalik chose to dump all of the SHIT tokens he received. PeckShieldAlert, a security and analytics platform, was able to track and identify the transaction.

The airdropped tokens from vitalik.eth were sold by Vitalik Buterin for 33,475 USDC. Following the dump, the tokens plummeted by 60%. Vitalik receives token airdrops from a number of projects in order to obtain free exposure and attention. 

Half of SHIB in Circulation

It’s still unclear why Vitalik held onto the tokens for 60 days before dumping them.  Two years earlier, Ryoshi delivered Vitalik half of the SHIB in circulation. The SHIB tokens that were airdropped totaled 500 trillion. In 2021, Vitalik Buterin revealed that he had sent 410 trillion to a dead wallet address. In addition, Buterin gave India’s COVID fund 50 trillion SHIB. 

As of September 2022, Ethereum will be using the PoS consensus mechanism instead of the Proof-of-Work (PoW). Ethereum developer Tim Beiko has said that “the merge” may occur on September 19.

Proof-of-work mining will be disabled during this phase of the integration. The PoS Beacon chain will be coupled with the Ethereum consensus component. However, the date of September 19 can change, and more delays are possible. According to CMC, the Ethereum price today is $1,710.13 USD with a 24-hour trading volume of $10,004,948,604 USD. Ethereum is up 0.23% in the last 24 hours.
