Trust in Argentina’s President Plummets Amid LIBRA Controversy

• A survey suggests that trust in President Milei has declined among the citizens after the LIBRA token controversy.

After the $4.6 billion LIBRA token controversy, the trust in President Javier Milei has decreased among the citizens, according to a recent poll. The poll revealed that approximately 58% of Argentinians don’t trust Milei. 

In March Zuban Córdoba surveyed President Javier Milei’s image after the LIBRA scandal with 1600 participants. In the poll, the platform asked the citizens “how much they trust Milei today after the LIBRA fraud scandal broke out”.  In response to this poll, 57.6% of participants said that they don’t trust him, while 36% still trust President Milei’s administration. Nevertheless, the remaining 6.4% weren’t confident about the matter.

President Javier Milei’s Image Metrics In Decline

Moreover, several other metrics have also declined in recent times. The Argentina president’s image and the national management approval rating have also decreased. For instance, the metrics dropped from  47.3% to 41.6% in spam for five months.

Zuban Córdoba’s research was conducted between March 12 and March 14. Furthermore, the research has a sampling error of only 2.45%. One more survey was conducted by the University of San Andrés between March 11-20, with 1,020 participants, highlighting that the Argentine President’s approval rating decreased to 45%.

Additionally, the University of San Andrés conducted another survey from March 11 to March 20, involving 1,020 participants. This study revealed a decline in the Argentine President’s approval rating, bringing it down to 45%.

However, the Morning Consult survey tells a different story. The survey was conducted between February 27 to March 5, suggesting that 62.4% of citizens still trust President Milei.

Despite these results, Milie’s party is anticipated to lead in the upcoming elections. President’s La Libertad Avanza party leads with 36.7% support, followed by Unión por la Patria at 32.5%.
