On October 24, Tether Data’s AI division QVAC launched the Genesis I dataset, facilitating global STEM language model development, and introduced the QVAC Workbench app for AI enthusiasts.

This initiative empowers decentralized AI advancement, potentially revolutionizing STEM education and local AI development by providing open access to high-quality datasets and robust computational tools.

QVAC’s Genesis I initiative introduces a 41 billion token dataset to promote advanced AI model training, focusing particularly on STEM. Designed to enhance educational and scientific discourse, this initiative marks QVAC’s significant entry into open-source AI data.

The introduction of QVAC Workbench, a privacy-focused app, represents Tether’s commitment to empower users with local AI experiences. Currently available for Android and desktop, an iOS version is also planned.

Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CEO, stated, “We believe that intelligence, like information, should be free, accessible, and owned by everyone, not locked behind corporate firewalls or sold as a service.”
