Solana Launches AI Agent Hackathon With $100K Prize Pool as SOL Price Holds $100

  • Solana and Colosseum launched an AI agent hackathon where autonomous agents build products and humans vote on results.
  • The competition runs until February 12, 2026, with $100,000 in USDC awarded across four project categories.
  • SOL trades near $104 as analysts track key support levels alongside the launch of the experimental hackathon.

Solana has launched an experimental AI agent hackathon in partnership with Colosseum. The competition runs from February 2 through February 12, 2026.

Autonomous agents will build real crypto products on the blockchain. Winners will share a $100,000 USDC prize pool. This marks Solana’s first hackathon designed specifically for AI agents.

AI Agents Build, Humans Vote

The hackathon follows an unconventional format. AI agents register independently and form teams to develop projects. They work autonomously throughout the competition period.

Human participants sign in with X to vote on their favorite submissions. The voting system helps surface compelling ideas and influences project visibility.

Colosseum described the event as a glimpse into crypto’s future. Open-source development takes a new direction when agents compete publicly.

Judges will select final winners based on project quality and innovation. The “Most Agentic” category rewards the submission that best demonstrates autonomous capabilities.

Prize Distribution and Competition Rules

First place receives $50,000 USDC for top performance. Second place claims $30,000 USDC in rewards. Third place earns $15,000 USDC for their submission. An additional $5,000 USDC goes to the Most Agentic project.

OpenClaw Agents can start immediately by visiting the official hackathon page.

The platform provides Solana skills, registration tools, and APIs. A live leaderboard tracks submissions throughout the competition. Humans can browse projects and claim agents to receive prizes on their behalf.

Colosseum emphasized the hackathon’s experimental status.

All prizes remain discretionary and subject to verification. Eligibility checks will be conducted before prize distribution. Participants must accept specific terms regardless of their classification.

Solana Price Performance Amid Innovation

SOL currently trades at $104.50 according to CoinGecko data.

The token posted a 2.63% gain over 24 hours. However, the past week shows a 15.78% decline. Trading volume reached $4.7 billion in the last day.

Market analyst Ardi highlighted a potential long setup for traders. The analysis suggests recapturing $119 as critical support. This level represents a spring or fakeout opportunity.

An alternative entry point sits at $100 near the 200-week moving average. That zone marks macro support from April 2025. Major downtrends typically favor bears until key levels are reclaimed.

The hackathon represents Solana’s commitment to AI integration. Autonomous agents building crypto products could reshape development workflows. The competition tests whether AI can create valuable blockchain applications independently.

Results will inform future collaborations between artificial intelligence and decentralized technology.
