The Shiba Inu L2 blockchain Shibarium records outstanding feats just a few days after going live on the mainnet.
The mainnet version of the Shiba Inu layer-2 solution, Shibarium, has been recording impressive stats less than two weeks after its launch.
Shibarium Wallets Approach 50K
Interestingly, the Shibarium mainnet has seen a massive spike in interacting wallet addresses.
According to data from the explorer Shibariumscan, the number of interacting wallet addresses on the L2 blockchain has surpassed 48,000. At press time, Shibarium’s interacting wallet addresses now stand at 48,868.

It is interesting to note that over 1,000 addresses have been added in just a few hours. Given this sudden spike, projections of a sustained surge to 100,000 in a few days have emerged.
Other Outstanding Shibarium Milestones
Aside from the surge in interacting wallet addresses, Shibarium has also achieved other positive results regarding transaction count and block productions.
Per Shibariumscan, the total transactions numbered 120,494 on the mainnet. Additionally, the number of produced blocks stands at 280,835, with an average block time of five seconds.
Furthermore, Shibarium recorded its highest daily transactions yesterday, hitting a whopping 100,905 mark.
Shibarium achieved the outstanding milestone less than two weeks after the L2 blockchain debuted on mainnet. It can be recalled that Shibarium went live on August 16, 2023, during the Blockchain Futuristic Conference in Toronto, Canada.
Although Shibarium experienced technical issues that saw it halt block production for a few days, the L2 blockchain has still achieved jaw-dropping stats.
It bears mentioning that Shibarium has resumed block production amid ongoing scaling efforts.
The team has embedded important features to ensure Shibarium does not experience another technical issue triggered by heavy traffic.
Notably, the development team added monitoring and auto server reset features to prevent a recurrence of the recent technical issue.
As long as Shibarium performs optimally, it will not be long before the mainnet surpasses the blockchain’s testnet record. Data from Puppyscan shows that over 17 million wallet addresses have been connected to Shibarium Beta, Puppynet.
The number of produced blocks on Puppynet also stands at 2,219,000, with an average block time of 6.8 seconds.
Over 15M BONE Staked
In a parallel development, Shiba Inu’s marketing specialist Lucie revealed the number of BONE tokens users have staked so far.
According to a screenshot attached to the tweet, market participants have staked 15,327,440.0901 (15.2 million) BONE tokens.
