Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama confirmed that the Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium will be released this week. Ahead of the anticipated release of the most-awaited Layer-2 blockchain solution, Shiba Inu developers and admins of its social media channels warned the community about rising scams and projects claiming relation to the Shibarium.
Shytoshi Kusama took to Twitter to warn about links and projects claiming to be linked to the Shibarium. He recommends the community to wait for official accounts to release further information, check for the blue tick on Twitter, and DYOR to clarify this FUD.
“I said this earlier but let me repeat: Ignore ALL FUD. Look at who originates the fud, any competiting products they might be responsible for creating, timing of Fud, and who gains from said Fud. Then DYOR. My guess is true because I said it is, doesn’t mean it is true.”
Shibarium Tech’s Telegram admin Someone Smart revealed that people are sharing a Shibarium beta or scan link. Some in the community have lost their assets by clicking on the link. The community is requested to avoid connecting their wallets, clicking on any links, or trusting any sources until the further announcement by the official accounts.
Meanwhile, Shiba Inu hinted at the Shibarium launch on Saturday. An exclusive Metaverse Happy Hour is happening on March 11, inviting the community to wrap up press day and kick off the SXSW Interactive. While the community anticipates the much-awaited launch, people need to exercise caution as projects will claim its relation to the Shibarium.
