Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has unveiled his vision to push the SHIB project to a decentralized ecosystem with a goal to attract up to 1 billion people.
This vision was spotlighted in the latest edition of the SHIB Magazine, released this Monday. Notably, Kusama granted an interview, detailing certain features of the vision he has for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. These features range from innovative technologies to a mission to fight combat scams.
Decentralization and Democracy
Kusama revealed that his vision accords great importance to decentralization. To actualize this dream of decentralization, the ecosystem team seeks to incorporate an all-inclusive governance protocol across the four ecosystem tokens. Notably, Kusama disclosed plans to initiate elections accommodating participation from the entire community.
He emphasized that these initiatives are an important step toward creating an environment where the voices of holders of the assets dictate the direction of the protocol. Enforcing these initiatives would result in the community being involved in the selection of leaders.

Technologies and Battle Against Scams
The overarching vision of the Shiba Inu lead developer also involves the introduction of new technologies. The ecosystem team recently launched projects such as Shibarium and the Shibarium bridge. However, there are several other technologies coming to the scene.
In his vision, he specifically outlined technologies that could help bolster transparent community elections free of bots. These technologies include Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs). These protocols could facilitate trust in community governance decisions.
Moving further, Kusama called attention to the growing incidence of scams within the Shiba Inu community. It bears mentioning that this pandemic exists in the broader crypto ecosystem, and not just within Shiba Inu. Kusama aims to leverage SSI and other initiatives to strengthen the ecosystem against these frauds.
Shiba Inu: The 1 Billion User Goal
An interesting part of the vision is Kusama’s goal to attract 1 billion users to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. For context, this figure represents one-eighth of the global population.
“Shytoshi’s vision transcends current crypto boundaries, aiming to draw in a billion users with real products and a commitment to privacy and legal compliance,” the SHIB Magazine boldly reads.
Shytoshi aims to develop a blockchain ecosystem that is both user-friendly and secure. His vision also addresses privacy concerns. According to him, this mission seeks to create an atmosphere that welcomes the participation of genuine users, with robust protocols to hedge against financial loss.
