Shangao Holdings Launches Hong Kong’s First Tokenized Notes

Shangao Holdings’ issuance sets a precedent in Hong Kong’s financial landscape. The company, along with Coastal Emerald Limited and Shandong Hi-Speed Holdings Limited as the guarantor, has collaborated with GF Securities and HashKey Group. Tokenization of these corporate notes aims to bridge traditional finance with blockchain innovation. Notably, the product was issued on the HashKey Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution operated by the HashKey Group.

This initiative echoes a broader interest in bringing real-world assets on-chain, as emphasized by Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman of HashKey Group, in a company announcement and mirrors the ambitions of Hong Kong’s financial ecosystem.
