Sam Altman’s Biometric Project in India

OpenAI President Sam Altman took to Twitter to officially once again introduce Worldcoin, an undertaking of his that was overshadowed by the fame of ChatGPT. The Worldcoin project uses a straightforward model: permit your eyes to be examined to demonstrate your human uniqueness, and get some crypto and an ID (called a World ID) in return. Worldcoin asserts that it is the “world’s largest identity and financial public network” accessible to individuals all over the world.

Worldcoin is an effort to establish a digital network where everyone can stake a stake and participate in the digital economy. Worldcoin volunteers known as “Orb operators” scan a person’s iris pattern with a device called “Orb” to collect their biometric data and issue them with a World ID through the World app. With the application, filtered members can gather a digital money called Worldcoin [WLD] at standard spans or make exchanges with their Reality ID where conceivable. This procedure, known as “proof of personhood,” prevents individuals from signing up multiple times in exchange for cryptocurrency.
