Ripple Set to Host First Policy Summit in Thailand

Leading financial services and blockchain company Ripple is all set to host its first Policy Summit in Thailand in collaboration with TRM Labs.

Ripple, the leading blockchain technology company, will host its highly anticipated Thailand Policy Summit in Bangkok on July 5. The event, organized in collaboration with TRM Labs, represents Ripple’s efforts further to solidify its presence in the Southeast Asian market.

Brooks Entwistle, Senior Vice President of Global Customer Success and Managing Director of Asia Pacific & Middle East North Africa (APAC & MENA) at Ripple, expressed his enthusiasm for the Summit in a recent tweet.

The tweet provides a glimpse into the vibrant atmosphere surrounding the event, with the Ripple team making a solid impression by illuminating the façade of The W Bangkok hotel in Silom, Bangkok.

The Thailand Policy Summit

The Summit, set to kick off later in the day, promises a day filled with captivating content and engaging discussions, underscoring the significance of the Thai market for Ripple’s operations.

The list of speakers features key figures. Among them are Entwistle; Angela Ang, Senior Policy Advisor at TRM Labs; Rahul Advani, the Policy Director for APAC at Ripple; and Jane Pukasemvarangkoon, the Customer and Partner Success Director at Ripple.

The event will also feature speakers from the public sector, including Archari Suppiroj, the Director of Payment Systems, and Boonrith Pongrasamiroj, the Senior Analyst of Payment Systems. Both individuals represent the Bank of Thailand.

The Summit’s agenda will delve into discussions about global regulatory developments concerning blockchain and digital assets, focusing on the Thai market.

The venue for the Summit is the prestigious W Hotel Bangkok, providing a fitting backdrop for this momentous gathering. The dress code for attendees is business casual.

Ripple Pursues Expansion

Notably, the Thailand Policy Summit is part of the extensive efforts carried out by Ripple to seal its position and bolster recognition in the global market. Ripple also wants to host its momentous Ripple Swell event in Dubai this November.

It bears mentioning that Ripple recently secured an in-principle license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore as part of its global expansion goal. The San Francisco-based firm also highlighted plans to expand into Europe as the MiCA regulation seeks to bring regulatory clarity to the market.
