RESOLV Protocol Halted After Exploit

Resolv Labs temporarily halted its protocol following an exploit that occurred on Sunday. The attacker minted 80 million unsupported tokens, breaking the USR stablecoin’s peg and dropping the token to as low as 0,14 dollars briefly. The Resolv Foundation announced on the X platform that all protocol functions, including the application, have been halted; Season 4 airdrop claims, RESOLV token staking and unstaking operations have been frozen. The collateral pool remained intact, but the attacker converted most of the minted USR to ETH, obtaining approximately 25 million dollars. USR is currently trading around 0,24 dollars.

Onchain Ultimatum to Attacker and Its Effects

Resolv issued an onchain ultimatum to the attacker: Return 90% of the converted funds (approximately 25 million dollars in ETH) and the remaining USR within 72 hours, and take 10% as bounty; otherwise, steps such as asset freezing with exchanges, bridges, and law enforcement will be taken. No movement in the attacker’s wallet. Michael Pearl from Cyvers Alert stated that redemptions have been reopened only for legitimate pre-exploit holders and that bad USR is being monitored. The incident led to 180 million dollars in liquidations on Morpho and 334 million dollars in outflows from Fluid. (As of March 24, 2026)
