The development comes a few days after SpendTheBits disclosed plans to integrate with Flare Networks.

The inclusion of SpendTheBits on the Flare Builders platform suggests that the Bitcoin spending solution is in the process of being fully integrated into the Flare Network. However, the Flare Builders team noted that they haven’t yet confirmed if SpendTheBits will also operate on the Songbird network.
In response, the team behind SpendTheBits clarified that their current priority is to create a proof of concept (PoC) on the test network. This PoC allows for functional testing during both the system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
Sorry for the confusion earlier. To clarify, we will be developing a proof of concept on the test network first to conduct functional tests(sit &uat), followed by an audit before deploying to production. During the testing phase, the team will leverage separate environments to ensure that any changes do not interfere with the production environment. This helps minimize the risk of introducing bugs that could impact the system’s stability.
Once the functional tests are done, SpendTheBits will conduct an audit to ensure the integration is secure and complies with relevant regulations. After the audit, the integration can be fully deployed to the production environment.
More Projects Continue to Build on Flare
According to Flare Builders, SpendTheBits is the 249th project to integrate into the Flare Networks, and the list continues to grow. As of December 24, 2022, the total number of projects stood at 42. This indicates that up to 207 projects have integrated with Flare since December 2022.
Moreover, Joshua Edwards, the Vice President of Engineering at Flare Network, disclosed Tuesday that Flare’s APIs had received over 2 billion requests globally in the past 30 days, with the United States accounting for 578 million requests. Finland, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan account for 584 million requests.
