Ondo Finance has further expanded its tokenized securities offering, adding over 60 new tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The new additions include BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Galaxy Digital (GLXY) amid growing regulatory clarity on real-world assets (RWA) tokenization from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Recently, Bitget expanded spot market access with Ondo Finance tokenized stocks, ETFs and precious metals. The rollout integrates traditional financial instruments into a single USDT-based trading account.

Growing RWA Adoption amid SEC Push for Tokenized Securities Regulation

Total RWA value on Ondo Finance is almost $2.6 billion, consisting primarily of tokenized US Treasuries, stocks, and commodities across several blockchain networks, according to RWAxyz data.

The demand for tokenized RWA continues to grow, particularly among institutional investors bringing traditional financial instruments on-chain. Ondo expanded its tokenized securities after the US SEC approved Nasdaq’s proposal for tokenized securities trading this week.

Tokenization benefits in near-instant settlement, easier trading of fractional shares, and extended or 24/7 trading hours in the future. This comes following the SEC’s release of tokenized securities guidelines earlier this year.

ONDO, the native token of the Ondo Finance platform, is down more than 1% today and more than 3% in a week, despite growing tokenization demand. The intraday low and high are $0.2531 and $0.2632, respectively. Trading volume is down 21% ahead of crypto options expiry.
