Next-Gen Layer 1 Chains Sui (SUI) & Aptos (APT) Rebound 10% While DTX Captures Investor Interest with $10M Presale Milestone

Sui (SUI) and Aptos (APT), dubbed next-generation blockchains due to their high speed and low transaction costs, both gained about 10% on Thursday, December 12, as per Coinmarketcap data. The two coins have leveraged the bullish sentiment of the broader crypto market, with Bitcoin (BTC) consolidating above the $100,000 mark.

However, all eyes are on DTX, which recently hit the $10 million milestone in its presale round. Currently in Stage 6 and nearly 60% complete, the presale is beating estimates. The crypto community expects DTX to outperform next-gen layer 1 chains by a margin.

Sui (SUI) Extends Gains to Reach New ATH

Sui (SUI) has surprised many investors in 2024, becoming the fastest-growing layer 1 chain this year with its fivefold increase, beating the likes of Solana. The network claims to handle nearly 300,000 transactions per second (tps) while reaching finality within 400 milliseconds.

This performance has prompted it to become one of the most sought-after blockchains in decentralized finance (DeFi). Currently, the total value locked (TVL) on Sui-based applications is at a record $2.2 billion, as per DefiLlama. The network had less than $250 million in TVL at the beginning of the year. The DeFi growth has been driven by native lending, trading, and yield protocols like Navi, Suilend, Scallop, and Cetus.

On Thursday, Sui increased by over 9% after a bearish start to December, to $4.65. Thanks to this rebound, the cryptocurrency has extended monthly gains to over 50%. Earlier today, Sui established a new all-time high at $4.85. Now SUI holders eye the $5 mark, which is expected to be a strong resistance level.

Aptos (APT) Recovers From Monthly Low

Aptos (APT) is another top-performing blockchain that has consolidated its position in DeFi and Web3. On a side note, it shares many similarities with Sui, as both chains use a unique programming language called Move.

Move was initially developed by Diem, a defunct project originally launched as Libra and backed by Facebook (now Meta). This is why the teams behind both Aptos (APT) and Sui (SUI) consist of former Facebook executives.

Like Sui, Aptos has been one of the fastest-growing chains in DeFi. Earlier this week, the network’s TVL hit a record $2.07 billion. Aptos started the year with less than $120 million in TVL, which makes its growth even more impressive.

Aptos (APT) is currently priced at $13.8 after gaining 10% on Thursday. However, it faced strong resistance at $14 and hasn’t been able to return to the monthly peak at $15.35, set last week, which was the highest level since April.

DTX Achieves Huge Milestone with $10M Secured in Presale

Despite the generous returns, Aptos (APT) and Sui (SUI) performance pales in comparison to that of the DTX Exchange, which has already raised $10 million in its presale.

As of today, the presale of the DTX token is at Stage 6, attracting nearly 60% of the investment target. This demonstrates impressive demand from the DeFi and crypto investors.

The DeFi community is excited about DTX’s flagship product, a trading application that gives users exposure to crypto assets, stocks, and forex pairs in a unified platform. Traders can boost potential profits with up to 1,000x leverage.

The DTX Exchange is backed by the VulcanX blockchain, enabling it to support a throughput of over 100,000 transactions per second. This performance will help it compete with the likes of Aptos (APT) and Sui (SUI).

Today, crypto holders can become early investors in the DTX Exchange by joining the presale. The token is still sold at a discount price, and early buyers will enjoy many perks, including discount trading fees and staking rewards.
