Decentralized emotional AI network Neura has partnered with world-famous singer and songwriter Ne-Yo to transform entertainment with emotional AI. The partnership allows Ne-Yo’s fans to interact with his ‘digital twin’ through Neura’s emotional AI.

Up to now, AI can write songs, generate images, and even mimic voices, but it rarely feels alive. Neura is working on changing this with the help of ex-Microsoft AI experts and engineers building emotionally intelligent AI agents designed to connect, remember, and resonate.

More than just another chatbot provider, Neura’s technology is built around what it calls ‘empathy engines’. These are AI agents that remember emotional context over time, interpret tone and subtext, and adapt across cultures.

According to the company, its agents achieve over 91% accuracy in affect recognition and 78% retention over 90 days, suggesting that users return not just for utility, but for the feeling of being understood.

Pang Kevin Sai, Head of Business Development at Neura, said: “Most AI today is brilliant but transactional. We’re focused on building systems that don’t just talk — they connect.”

Neura’s experiments with Grammy-winning artist Ne-Yo are one of the most visible so far, which has led to the launch of his own ‘digital twin’ powered by its Emotional AI.

Fans can interact with the digital version of the top artist in real time, such as having conversations with him and hearing responses in his voice that feel more personal than the typical interaction between fans and celebrities.

The system can remember past conversations, allowing fans to continue their interactions from where they stopped last time, unlike traditional fan apps.

Ne-Yo said in a statement, “For me, this is about connection. If technology can help me reach fans in a more authentic way, that’s worth exploring.”

In addition to the unique emotional twist, Neura is also bringing decentralization to the AI space, further setting its platform apart. Rather than rely on centralized servers, Neura’s architecture harnesses Web3 principles of ownership, transparency, and community governance.

This allows fans to not just engage with Ne-Yo’s AI presence but also to own digital assets tied to their experiences, blurring the line between participation and ownership. Fans will therefore be transformed from passive consumers to active co-creators.

Beyond entertainment, Neura sees the application of its emotional AI in healthcare, where AI companions could provide emotional support for therapy and elder care, as well as in education, where emotionally adaptive agents could help detect and address student disengagement.

The company sees its technology being integrated into everyday life by 2030, where emotionally intelligent, decentralized AI becomes a standard part of digital life.
