Nasdaq Files for 21Shares Dogecoin ETF, Awaits SEC Decision

Nasdaq has officially filed documents to list the 21Shares Dogecoin ETF under Rule 5711(d). 21Shares US LLC will manage the fund in partnership with Coinbase Custody, which will hold the Dogecoin assets. The ETF targets the DOGE-USD fixing price index issued by CF Benchmarks.

The ETF will use a cash-only subscription and redemption model, forgoing leverage and derivatives. This approach focuses on transparency and direct market exposure. If approved, Nasdaq will broaden its crypto asset offerings, extending interest beyond large-cap cryptocurrencies.

“We urge the SEC to treat digital assets with standards comparable to traditional securities if they functionally act the same” – Nasdaq Comment Letter (April 25).
