The upcoming US election and the prevailing political developments have garnered great attention in the crypto industry, especially concerning the leaders’ diverse approaches to crypto. The latest development in the spotlight is the rivalry between Republican Senator candidate John Deaton and Senator Elizabeth Warren in the Senate race.
In a recent X post, James Murphy, known as MetaLawMan on X, shared a comment on Senator Warren’s anxiety over her position in the election rally. Criticizing her controversial Anti-Crypto Army, Murphy stated, “She should be worrying about the voters of Massachusetts who are tired of her pro-inflation, pro-illegal immigration, anti-freedom agenda.”
MetaLawMan’s words came in light of the recent development involving John Deaton and Senator Warren. On August 14, John Deaton took to X to respond to Senator Warren’s recent attack on the Super PAC that supports the former. Deaton shed light on a message sent by Warren, which claims to have questioned his political identity.
Deaton argued that Senator Warren has falsely portrayed his political position by addressing him as a “crypto lawyer from Rhode Island.” Warren also added that Deaton was recruited to the race to challenge her.
In response to her claims, Deaton posited that he was recruited to serve his country. He further challenged Warren, stating, “I’ll see you soon, Senator.” Finally, he asserted that Warren is nervous for a reason, and she is trying to out-fund him. To fight her back, Deaton requested his followers to donate even a tiny amount to the fund.
While Deaton has support from prominent crypto firms like Ripple, Gemini, etc, the recent incident has further boosted the community’s support for him. For instance, many of his followers, including analysts and influencers, urged Deaton to keep fighting.
