In a significant development for legal technology, Harvey has announced its integration with iManage, aiming to streamline document management for legal teams. The integration focuses on enhancing security, scalability, and networking capabilities, according to Harvey.ai.

Security: End-to-End Protection by Design

Harvey’s iManage integration prioritizes security by encrypting data both in transit and at rest. Administrators have the ability to disconnect iManage accounts seamlessly, ensuring that data governance is maintained across all imported files. This is achieved through a robust governance framework that aligns with Harvey’s enterprise readiness standards.

Scale: Balancing Load Across the Platform

The integration leverages iManage’s Universal API to manage download and export functionalities effectively. A dynamic rate limiter, built on a distributed Redis caching layer, helps manage API quota allocation efficiently, preventing any single product from monopolizing resources and ensuring consistent performance across Harvey’s platform.

Networking: Integrating With iManage On-Prem

Harvey has also addressed the challenges of integrating with on-premises iManage systems, which are often complex. The solution involves using Azure Application Proxy to safely expose internal apps to the internet, ensuring secure connectivity without compromising internal security protocols.
