Grayscale Investments has partnered with FTSE Russell to launch a Crypto Sector Index Series, featuring various indices focusing on different digital asset categories based on specific use cases. The indices will include cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and litecoin, smart contract ventures such as ether and Solana, tokens tied to financial services, art, gaming, and media, and practical applications like Chainlink and Filecoin. However, Grayscale’s recent legal hurdles have shadowed its expansion efforts. Last week, New York Attorney General Letitia James brought a complaint against Grayscale’s parent company, DCG, and its other affiliate, Genesis, regarding the Earn product.
