The move allows developers to access Flare networks and other connected blockchains on the Google Cloud marketplace, such as XRP ledger (XRPL) and Bitcoin.
Flare, a data-driven EVM-compatible blockchain, has integrated its blockchain API suite on the Google Cloud marketplace. The move gives developers access to APIs for the Flare networks and other connected blockchains, such as the XRP Ledger and Bitcoin, right on the Google Cloud marketplace.
The Flare team announced the development in a recent press release and further called attention to it in a tweet.
#Flare has integrated its @APIPortal on @googlecloud Marketplace, launching some of the first #blockchain APIs on the platform. Developers can use the Marketplace to easily access nodes of the top blockchains, including BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP & FLR.https://t.co/c3dFq6R0Oh

Flare’s Existing API Suite
An API, or Application Programming Interface, allows different programs or applications to communicate with each other. Flare has an existing suite of APIs allowing developers to create and manage applications that can interact with the Flare networks and other blockchains without creating separate nodes for each chain.
In addition to its native networks, such as Flare and Songbird, external blockchains supported by Flare’s API suite include the XRP Ledger, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Litecoin, and Algorand.
By leveraging the APIs, developers can launch applications that will gain access to real-time data within the blockchains without the trouble of setting up nodes on each of them. This is especially useful for applications needing to access data across multiple chains at once.
Implications of the Latest Move for XRPL, Other Chains
The latest development makes it much easier and more convenient for developers to leverage APIs for XRPL and other chains. They can now access these APIs using their existing Google Cloud account. Moreover, with the integration, Google Cloud’s built-in Cloud Marketplace now supports APIs for several blockchains, including XRPL and Bitcoin.
This move also makes it easier for big companies and partners to try out blockchain technology safely and securely. This, in turn, helps in bolstering global blockchain adoption. A tweet by Eri, a prominent XRP community influencer, suggests that the API package is already available on the marketplace as of press time.

A look at the Google Cloud marketplace shows that pricing ranges from $0.99 a month for the Core subscription to as much as $1,000 a month for the Growth subscription.
Flare remains focused on facilitating interoperability, as evidenced by the latest development and past moves. As previously reported by The Crypto Basic, in February, the Flare team made a live demonstration of the ability to purchase NFTs using DOGE and XRP on Flare as they sought to highlight the network’s interoperability capabilities.
