Tier-1 centralized digital asset exchange Bitrue was one of the leading sponsors and participants in the 2023 Cardano Summit, which took place between Nov 2nd and 4th at Dubai’s Grand Hyatt Hotel.
In recent months, Emirates has become home for tech startups, Web3 investments, R&D, as well as several prominent digital asset exchanges such as Binance.
With 20+ community-led events globally, a thousand attendees, 150 speakers, and industry partners making Cardano Summit one of the most respected conferences in the digital asset calendar, 2024 was another success following Switzerland in 2022.
Among other specialists, Bitrue’s CSO Robert Quartly-Janeiro delved into the future of centralized exchanges as part of a panel discussion at the Pitch Arena stage. Robert joined the debate on the future of CEXs in the Web3 market. The panel, titled “New Horizons: The Future of Exchanges,” explored the evolving landscape of digital asset exchanges.
“The supportive environment and clear regulatory frameworks that gave Dubai the status of a crypto hub will develop further as industry leaders such as Cardano deploy professionals and investment into the UAE. Now it’s important to focus on where it will bring the alternative investment asset class, and the projects around it, in the next 1-2 years,” said Robert.
During the summit, Bitrue reengaged with the Cardano Foundation, new projects for potential listings, partners, things to invest in via Bitrue Ventures, and the wider Cardano community, reflecting the exchange’s position as a top 10 exchange for trade volume and a vocal proponent of the ADA ecosystem.
“It’s incredibly valuable to have companies like Bitrue discussing the future of digital assets and Web3 by sharing the pathways they are using to make a vision reality,” said Sandro Knöpfel, Head of Financial & Regulated Institutions at Cardano Foundation.
As a long-standing supporter of Cardano, in 2019, Bitrue became one of the first exchanges to list ADA, making the token one of the first investable assets via Bitrue’s Power Piggy offering, and invested alongside Cardano in the EX wing riders. In 2021, the exchange helped Cardano’s decentralization by delegating 1 million ADA to various liquidity pools, an important step in Cardano’s development.
Earlier this year, Bitrue became the first digital asset exchange to list and support Cardano-based native assets and added ADA as a base currency to facilitate trading activities on their platform. The two organizations continue to look at ways of supporting Cardano’s initiatives and plans.
